FCL shipping is safer because the container is loaded with the goods of a single recipient, at the supplier’s warehouse, where it is closed with a seal that is opened by the importer once the container reaches its final destination (except for customs inspections at the end of which another seal is applied).
As for costs, shipping full load means incurring a lower freight cost per cubic meter compared to the LCL solution.
Why choose FCL shipping?
It is important to evaluate how much of the container you end up occupying, but when the load exceeds 50-70%, FCL shipping is the most advantageous.
In the case of fragile goods, it is clear that the Full Container Load solution provides more guarantees, there is nothing else in the container and this allows the organization of the space according to the content; it is not possible to have this certainty in groupage transport.

FCL maritime transport (Full Container Load), is a dedicated international shipping service, to be supplied to a single customer in a single container. It is ideal for companies or individuals who need an entire container for shipping goods.
Unlike LCL ocean freight (Less than Container Load), FCL maritime transport guarantees greater safety and control and faster transit times as it is a direct delivery to a single recipient.
FCL sea transport, if the goods are shipped on suitable pallets, is considered safer for fragile and valuable goods given that control of the container is reserved only for one customer. In addition, since it is not added to other customers' goods, it reduces the risk of damage and theft.
Shipping times are certainly quicker than an LCL sea shipment.
